Location close to tavernas, sea, port, and bus station. Good-sized room with fridge, conditioner, and hairdryer. Clean with regular towel/bed changes. Nice balcony with mountain view. Good breakfast with local products. Friendly and attentive owners. Lovely homemade raki.
Nothing that I didn't like.

Unbelievable location near awesome restaurants and the beach for a dip. Two rooms, one with a STUNNING balcony and garden/mountain view, the other with a view of the port and bay. Super friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were bright, spotlessly clean, and had all the amenities we needed like Wi-Fi, flat-screen TV, and air conditioning. Definitely recommend!

The St.George Valsamitis hotel in Katapola provided our family with a pleasant stay during our vacation. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and recently renovated, offering a cozy atmosphere for us and our children. The friendly and helpful staff made us feel welcome throughout our stay, providing excellent service. We especially enjoyed the good quality breakfast served on the nice terrace with a beautiful view of Katapola port. The location was convenient, with easy access to the nearby beaches and a variety of restaurants and bars. The hotel also offered free pickup from the port, making our arrival hassle-free. it was a great value for the price, providing everything we needed for a memorable family vacation.
For families with children, my children wanted to have more options for activities within the hotel. While the hotel offers billiards, my kids wished for a dedicated play area or a kids' club to keep them entertained.

As a recent guest at a hotel in the Xilokeratidi area of Amorgos, I had a fantastic stay at a charming medium-sized hotel. The St.George Valsamitis provided a wonderful room with a peaceful atmosphere and helpful staff. The location was perfect, just a short walk from the Katapola port. Additionally, there were plenty of great restaurants nearby to enjoy a delicious meal.
No negative experiences to mention. 😊

The hotel was conveniently located just a short walk from the port, making it easy to get to and from. The owner was kind enough to offer a pick-up service, which was a great help. Our room had a beautiful view of the mountains, and the hotel itself offered spectacular views over the bay and port.- The staff were polite and friendly, providing us with helpful advice for our stay. We also enjoyed the options for lunch and dinner in the nearby area, which offered good food at affordable prices.
The wifi connection in the hotel was a bit weak, which made it difficult to stay connected at times. The breakfast provided was basic, but considering the great value of the hotel, it was understandable.

I recently stayed at St. George Valsamitis in Katapola for a week-long summer vacation. The hotel's location was ideal, as it was close to tavernas, the sea, the port, and the bus station. The room was spacious and well-equipped with a fridge, conditioner, and a hair dryer. The balcony offered a lovely view of the mountains and the starry sky at night. The cleanliness of the room was remarkable, with regular towel and bed changes. The breakfast was delicious, featuring local products, and was available until 11am. The owner family was friendly and always available, even offering their homemade raki as a welcoming gift. The Wi-Fi worked better with Android devices.
I strongly recommend this hotel.

I was pleasantly surprised by the value for money at this hotel. The room was basic but cozy, and I enjoyed the nice view from my window. The location was quiet yet not far from the port, and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly.
The breakfast offerings could use some improvement, with more variety and options available.

I absolutely loved the cozy and charming atmosphere of the hotel. The decoration had a traditional Greek touch, with beautiful colors and patterns that made me feel right at home. The general areas were well-maintained and clean, with lovely seating areas where I could relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. As a senior woman, I appreciated the accessibility of the hotel. The walk uphill with steps was a bit challenging, but with a little effort, I could manage it. It was worth it, as the hotel was tucked away from the main street, providing a quiet and tranquil environment for a peaceful vacation.
If I had to ask for one thing, it would be for the children working there to be more attentive to the needs of senior guests. While the staff was generally friendly and accommodating, there were a few instances where I felt they could have been more proactive in assisting senior guests with their luggage or any other needs they may have had.

The owners made us feel welcome and always took the time to chat and offer assistance. Despite a few minor drawbacks, overall I highly recommend this hotel.
